Ren Vandsteeg

I'm Ren, nice to meet you!

Ren has been serving Jesus for 57 years. His purpose in life is to help others to know God. He is an ordained minister, pastor, prison chaplain and retired military chaplain having served 31 years in the U.S. Air Force, 25 as a chaplain. He served throughout the United States; Europe; the Middle East including Saudi Arabia; and the Far East Pacific region including Okinawa, Japan. He served during the Vietnam War was deployed to the first Iraq War-Operation Desert Storm, and the Bosnian War. As a result of his experiences with people around the world he wrote his book titled: The Bible Is Easier to Understand Than You May Think. He makes the Bible easy to understand so that people from all cultures can come to know God. That's the purpose of his book and the purpose of his life. Ren sees the Bible a a spiritual warfare book; the battle between God and evil. He and Carol live in San Antonio, Texas. Together they love glorifying God and enjoying Him forever.

Ren's Professional Background

Ren Vandesteeg has a BA in religion and theology, an MDiv, and an MA in Christian education and is ordained with the Christian Reformed Church in North America. In his fifty-five years in ministry, which includes pastoral and prison ministry, he spent twenty-five years as a US Air Force military chaplain in the US, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, British Indian Ocean territory, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. Serving as chief of personnel assignments for the US Air Force Chaplain Corps, he enabled 665 chaplains ministering around the world. He and his wife, Carol, of 54 years, have two sons and two daughters-in-law and live in San Antonio, Texas.

Ren served as Chief Assignments Officer for the U.S. Air Force Chaplain Corps. He led his team of 665 chaplains to enable people to know God. This is an example of worldwide exposure in helping people to know God.
