Easter

Easter
Supernaturally Rumbling On
Resurrection? Easter bunnies? Easter eggs?
Egg hunts? Easter Sunday?
Somebody named Jesus? Who is he?
What’s Easter all about anyway?
I make Easter simple in chapter 15 of my book (The Bible Is Easier to Understand Than You May Think). I hope you enjoy the read.
The King Returns
(33 AD)
“He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen.”
(Matthew 28:6)
“THAT SUNDAY MORNING, HEAVEN’S Commander- in-Chief broke the dawn’s early light with an earthquake. The very security that the Roman government of Caesar and Pilate counted on, the same secure ground that the hypocritical, elite religious leaders trusted in, trembled beneath their feet. An angel came to the tomb to roll the rock away. He opened death’s door to the morning light. Brutal Roman soldiers were standing guard over the tomb and when they saw the angel coming, they fainted. Human toughness is no match for the presence of God.
God the Almighty had just performed the most important event in human history, while the prideful, political, military, and elite religious leaders slept. God interjected Himself into earthly history once again, but this time, He raised His Son from the dead.
Lucifer, turn out the lights. The party’s over.
Attention! The funeral for Jesus has been canceled. We don’t need a coffin or a cemetery. No need for an inurnment for ashes, a columbarium, or official mourners. Get that bunny and his Easter eggs out of here too. This is no place for a silly, scared rabbit. This is about the sacred Lamb. He is now the Lion of Judah.”
(P. 101, The Bible Is Easier to Understand Than You May Think)
The angel said “… ‘He is risen’ … ‘I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen … ’” (emphasis mine; Matthew 28:5-6)
Those three little words, “He is risen,” are the three most important words in human history.
God defeated the devil and demonstrated His power over life and death when He ripped the power of death out of the devil’s hands and raised Jesus from the dead.
It was as if God announced to us:
“I am God, I am the only one who has power over life and death.”
“I gave resurrection life to my dead Son when I raised Him back to life. Now He is ready to pass on His resurrection life on to you.”
When we receive his resurrection life, Jesus resurrects us from the spiritual dead. Then we continually live his resurrection life in our lives.
This is Easter supernaturally rumbling on . . . God’s new life potently living through you and me and all who believe in Jesus.
That’s not amore, that’s agape.
I’m looking forward to your responses!

I'm Ren, nice to meet you!
